We just discovered a hidden gem! These 1981 Family Circus Collector Christmas Plates brand new still in their original box. And this special Limited Edition Family Circus "The 1981 Christmas Plate" is one of only 5,000 plates created, meticulously reproduced to capture America's best loved cartoonist's fictional family.
Family Circus, initially named Family Circle, is a famous comic strip created by Bil Keane, still in newspapers, today, inked, written, and colored by his son, Jeff. This comic depicts the humor of the everyday life of a six-member suburban family in the sixties. Keane's inspiration for the family and setting is very closely based on his own family life, full of fun characters, including pets and extended relatives. Though this comic is proven to take place in Scottsdale, Arizona, there are scenes of the family being surrounded by snow, which is said to link to Keane's childhood days in Pennsylvania. And this plate features the family gathered in the snowy outdoors, each character showing their true colors. This plate comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, by Hoyle Products. Made of ceramic.
