Dk "Over all, I was pleased with this cutout. Of the 45 I ordered, 3 arrived with the olive branch broken off, but I fixed them with carefully applied super-duper glue. A couple cutouts had small bits of wood missing from the tail area, but this wasnt too noticeable once the cutouts were painted. I used a sponge brush to apply white acrylic paint to the dove form 2 coats were sufficient. I found a rough surface on 2 of the dove bodies the vast majority were smooth and easy to paint with the sponge brush. I also elected to paint the dark edges of the cutout white 3-4 coats of paint sufficed for the effect I wanted. I used a small, flat brush on the edges and 2 small pointed brushes for the olive branch and beak of the dove. Paint the beak last. It took 2-3 coats to cover the brown and green paint I chose for the olive branch. The beak area is small it dried quickly between 2-3 applications of an apricot paint. Our Womens Ministry retreat participants were delighted with the results!"
