This project is to create a Pageant Pumpkin
Products Needed:
1 5-1/2" Styrofoam Ball (#4830)
1 2"x3" Styrofoam Cone (#SC30)
1 Hank (6 yards) Each of Loopy Chenille (Brown & Orange) (#10024)
1 12"x18" Foamie Craft Sheet (Black) (#15200)
1-3/4" T-Pins (#38035)
Hot Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
STEP 1:
Cut triangles out of the black foamie sheet (2 for the eyes, 1 for the nose). These should be anywhere from 1" to 3". For the mouth cut triangles about a 1/2" smaller than the first ones.
STEP 2:
Pin an end of the orange loopy chenille to the styrofoam ball, wrapping the ball entirely covering the surface except for about 2" at the top. While doing this, secure the chenille with T-pins and/or hot glue as you go. Cut off excess chenille.
STEP 3:
Cut about 1/2" off the top of the styrofoam cone, this will be the stem. Again securing with T-pins or hot glue, wrap the brown chenille around the remaining piece. Be sure to cover the entire area except the bottom of the cone. Cut off excess chenille.
STEP 4:
Arrange the pieces of foamie triangles to make a face and glue them onto the pumpkin. To make the mouth like our example glue the smaller triangles pointing in opposite directions next to each other.
STEP 5:
For an additional touch, you can glue a few leaves along the base of the stem from our item, #1151610, pack of 25 fall leaves.
