Primitive Painted Paper Mache Eggs Project

Products Needed:

  • Paper Mache Egg - 2-1/2" (#280908) or 4" (#282109)
  • Paint Brushes
  • Apple Barrel Paints - assorted primitive colors of your choice
  • Crackle Medium 2 oz. (#DEL7009) or 8 oz. (#696)

    INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Paint entire egg your desired base (after crackle, this color will show through) color. Let dry.
  • Paint entire egg with crackle medium, ensuring that you apply in one even coat, as this will affect how large your cracks will be.
  • Apply your second coat of desired color to be crackled and be careful not to overlap your brush strokes on this stage, so that the cracks are consistent.
  • Use Apple Barrel paint for your design you desire.
