Washi Covered Phone Charger

We have a little problem in our house with phone chargers. Namely keeping them around where we need them. See, I thought having the phone plugs all be the same as other electronic devices would make my life easier, one plug being good for all, you see. But the truth is that having all those devices on the same system means that the plug I use for my phone regularly disappears into the bedrooms of my children to charge up their various devices. And when I track down said plug I get the response “I thought that one was mine mom!” Well no more. I’ve found the perfect solution to make sure everyone’s plugs (and most especially mine) is identifiable so they don’t walk off on me anymore. Washi Tape!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 10 minutes or so depending on how many plugs

Things you’ll need:
Red and white polka dot washi tape or other styles of your choice
Craft Knife
Phone Charger

Things to do:
1. Carefully line the tape up with one edge of the charger plug base. Wrap the tape around until it meets the other end and trim. Repeat, overlapping as needed, until the plug is covered.

2. Repeat this process with the accompanying cord ends, using the same tape.

3. Cover each set of plug and cord with a different pattern of washi tape for easy identification.
