This craft is surprisingly simple and absolutely stunning! You’ll love the way this lantern lights up the night, creating a cozy atmosphere for your porch. A few simple steps will transform an old vase into a chic, hanging light that radiates ambiance.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 10 Minutes
Age range: 10 and Up

Things you’ll need:
An old vase with distinguished neck
Jute twine
Hot Glue Gun
Candle
Sand
3/4 Link Chain
Thin Wire
Wire Cutters
Scissors

Things to do:
1: Wrap the thin wire around the neck of the vase. Be sure the wire is wrapped tightly, twisting the ends several times for maximum support. Trim any excess wire.

2. Cut a 20 inch section of chain. Open the end links of the chain and attached them to the wire around the neck of the vase.

3. Use hot glue to attach a piece of jute to the neck of the vase. Cover the neck with jute, creating a solid covering that hides the wire. Anchor the end of the jute with hot glue.

4. Fill the vase with sand and place a candle inside of the vase.
