Turn an Old Print into New Wall Art

This Pinterest-inspired project is so simple and a lot of fun to make! In just a few easy steps, you can transform an old print into a fun new decoration for your home.

Things you’ll need:
Printed Painting
Acrylic Paint
Foam brush
Paintbush
Alphabet stencils

Things to do:
1. The first step is picking a color of paint to complement the picture you’ve chosen. If the image is black and white, try a bright, neon shade. The contrast adds a lot, creating an interesting modern-meets-vintage vibe.

2. The next thing you’ll want to do is select a quote to write on your image. Song lyrics or a quote from your favorite book makes a lovely display. Try to find something that ties in with the picture. Sometimes, a simple word is enough to make a big impact.
3. Start stenciling your quote onto the picture. Use a stencil brush to fill in the letters. Be sure to wipe any excess paint off of your brush before painting in the words to create a neat and tidy look. Plan where you want your words to be before you stencil them on, to ensure you have space to fit your whole quote.

4. Let the painting dry completely before displaying it so the words don’t smudge.
