Sometimes decorating with balloons needs to be a little more special – a baby shower, a wedding, an anniversary. Wrapping the balloon with tulle adds some beauty and style!

Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Balloon
Tulle netting
String of pearl beads
Twine
Scissors
Needle and thread

Things to do:
1. Blow up and tie off your balloon. Cut 6-8 pieces of tulle to 24-36 inches long each. The length depends on the size of the balloon and how much tulle you’d like to see hanging from the bottom.

2. Divide the pieces of tulle into two groups, each with an equal number of pieces. Layer the pieces in each group on top of each other, and drape the pieces in one group over the balloon.

3. Tie this off with a piece of jute or other type of twine.

4. Repeat steps 2-3 with the other group of tulle, wrapping it perpendicular to the first group.

5. Tie the bottom of the balloon with pretty beads, ribbons, or ric-rac.

6. Thread a needle and insert it into the tulle at the top of the balloon (don’t pierce the balloon!). Tie the thread in a loop and use to hang your balloon.
