Little Toes Caterpillar

It’s hard to resist little toes, isn’t it? Here’s a darling way to keep a memory of those wee little things and capture a bit of nature as well. For best results with the rubbings, use the side of a crayon and work on a firm surface.

Things you’ll need:
Medium weight paper
Crayons, labels removed
Leaves
Acrylic paint
Foam brush
Markers

Things to do:
1. Press the leaves lightly under a piece of paper and a book, just long enough to make it very flat.

2. Lay the leave upside down on your work surface and cover with a piece of paper. Holding the leaf in place through the paper by the stem, rub the crayon over the paper where the leaf is, transferring the veins and edges of the leaf onto the paper.

3. Paint the ends of your little ones toes with the craft paint and press gently onto the leaf to create five little circles.

4. Once the paint is dry, add eyes, antenna and legs to your caterpillar.
