Here’s a way to create a memento of your little ones fingers that will look like something fancier than it really is. And all it takes is a little air dry clay.
Things you’ll need:
Air dry clay (make your own!)
Toothpick or knitting needle
Silver acrylic paint
Paintbrush
Things to do:
1. Pull off a tablespoon or so of clay and work it in your hand until it’s smooth and pliable. Roll it into a smooth ball and then flatten in slightly with your palm.

2. Press your little one’s finger into the center of the clay disk firmly but not so it presses through.

3. Use the knitting needle or toothpick to create a hole near the top of the tag. Allow the clay to dry completely.

4. On a covered work surface, paint the tag with two or three coats of silver paint, allowing each coat to dry before adding the next. String from a ribbon to wear close to your heart.

Cute! I might need to try that with my nieces and nephews. I think I might want to make sure the actual fingerprint ridges are visable. (they may be in the sample but cant tell with this pic) Thanks for the idea Dede
