Thin Paracord Bracelet with Breakaway Buckle

This style of paracord bracelet make an idea collar for cats or bracelet for small children who you don’t want to get hung up on their jewelry. Here we’ve used the single core Solomon knot but any thin style knotting technique will work for this project.

Things you’ll need:
Parachute cord in the colors of your choice
Breakaway buckle
Lighter
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Measure out the length you’ll want for the finished bracelet or collar. Add two inches to this length and cut your core piece to this length.

2. Thread one end of the core piece into the small hole on one half of the buckle. Knot firmly, trim and lightly burn the end to secure.

3. Pull the knot into the buckle and give a gentle tug to make sure it’s all the way down.

4. Repeat with the other end of the cord and the other half of the buckle.

5. Starting just under one of the buckles, begin your knots. Here we have used the thin Solomon bar technique.

6. Repeat the knotting until you have reached the other buckle. Push the knots gently up a little to fit the last knot in.

7. Trim the ends and lightly burn them to secure. Adjust the knots down so that they are evenly spaced along the core.
