Simple Fairy Garden in a Pot

Fairy gardens are so magical and wonderful; I can’t seem to get enough of them. Although we have an ancient one down in our woods, we really did need one that could sit up closer to our house. Creating a Fairy Garden in a Pot is a great way to have a magical little space when you don’t have a large yard or if you want one that can be moved around. To help keep the pot light, fill it 3/4 of the way with chucks of wood and leaf mulch before adding soil to create a flat surface.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 30 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Large flowerpot
Soil
Fairy garden miniatures
Pebbles
Moss
Miniature garden gate and fence
Pots and little plants

Things to do:
1. Fill the pot almost to the top with soil and flatten to make a working surface.
2. Create a path with pebbles, pressing them down into the soil so they stay put.

3. Line each side with moss to the edge of the pot to create the “grass”.

4. Place the gate, fence, furniture and accessories to create the space you desire.
