How to Make a Simple Burlap St. Patrick’s Day Wreath


Add some green” to your home for St. Patrick’s Day! Spring is just around the corner, but don’t forget about St. Patrick’s Day as an opportunity to spruce up. The burlap gives the wreath a primitive appeal, and the pipe cleaners are an easy way to create lucky shamrocks.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 45 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Styrofoam wreath
Burlap ribbon
Green pipe cleaners
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Green buttons
Scissors
Yarn or jute for hanging

Things to do:
1. Warm up your hot glue gun and glue and begin wrapping your burlap ribbon around the styrofoam wreath.

2. Using one pipe cleaner, bend a heart on one side as shown.

3. Bend a heart on the other side of the pipe cleaner.

4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the other pipe cleaner.

5. Attach both together, as shown, wrapping them around each other to keep them secure.

6. Create another shamrock with two more pipe cleaners.

7. Hot glue the pipe cleaner shamrocks to the wreath as shown.

8. Green buttons in different places on the wreath for added embellishment!
