Try this project with your kids, and use up some ribbon scraps! This twig and ribbon tree is as adorable as it is easy to complete. Great for primitive tree decor!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes
Age range: 8+

Things you’ll need:
Various ribbon pieces
Small twig
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
String or twine

Things to do:
1. Warm up your hot glue gun. Tie a ribbon on the twig and hot glue in place. Don’t worry too much about the length of the ribbon now – you can always trim it later. However, if you have smaller pieces, use those closer to the top.

2. Continue with another ribbon.

3. Add more ribbons and trims, making sure the lower ribbons are long enough. Trim the tree” so that the ribbons closest to the bottom are the longest, and the ribbons at the top are the shortest.

4. Tie a piece of string or twine to the top of the ornament so you can hang it on your tree!
