These beauties are in bloom all year long! Make a whole boutique and use them as a centerpiece when the fresh flowers aren’t an option.
Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 20 minutes
Age range: 12 and up
Things you’ll need:
Felt
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks
Scissors
Sticks
Things to do:
1. The first step is cutting out your felt pieces. You’ll need one 1/2 inch strip and two strips that start at 1 inch and expand to about 1 1/2 – 2 inches.
2. Wrap the 1/2 inch strip around the top of your stick. Use hot glue to secure the ends in place.
3. Next, wrap the large strip of felt around the stick. Try to keep the roll loose and play with different heights. When you’ve finished rolling, apply a tick line of hot glue at the bottom of the roll and push it tightly against the stick. Repeat this step with your last strip of felt.
4. Now we’re going to add leaves. Cut out one or two leaves and use hot glue to attach them to the bottom of the rose. I wrapped the entire bottom of my flower in green leaves, which gave my flower a clean and finished look.
