Rainy Day Clothespin Planes

The perfect snowy/rainy/yucky day activity, these planes are almost as much fun to make as they are to play with. Make them with one or two sets of wings, bi or single winged, the sky is the limit. Once made they can be played with as is OR add another step to the fun and let the kids paint them bright and fun colors.

Time required: 10 minutes plus dry time
Difficulty level: Easy

Things you’ll need:
Clothespins
Craft Spoons or popsicle sticks
Hot glue gun and glue sticks or craft glue
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Decide where and how many wings you want on your planes and glue them in place. Hot glue is faster, but can burn and so is better done by a grown up, craft glue is great for the kids to do on their own but does take time to dry.

2. Using your scissors, cut off the rounded end and then split to make the tail-fin. You can also cut a short length for a rear piece on the plane. Glue these in place.

3. Once the glue is dry, play or paint your planes!

    1. We actually carry them on our website (factorydirectcraft.com/catalog/products/1302_2110_1462-7383-unfinished_wood_spoons.html)! We call them wooden spoons, but they are more of a tongue depressor type stick.
