If you have a little puzzle lover on your valentines list, this is the perfect treat for them on the 14th! Start with wooden puzzle blanks or a puzzle that was headed for the charity shops, gather up your Valentines themed scrapbook supplies and get ready for some puzzle fun!

Things you need:
Puzzle blank or old puzzle
Valentine Pink Apple Barrel Paint
Die cut letters, hearts and shapes
Modge Podge
Craft knife and cutting mat
Foam paintbrushes
Ribbon

Things to do:
1. Put your puzzle together on a covered work surface and cover with a few thin coats of paint, enough so that the wood or old picture no longer shows through.

2. Using die cut letters, spell out your valentine’s message, arranging the words to your liking. Add embellishments such as paper hearts and flourishes.

3. Apply a thin coat of Modge Podge to the puzzle, one area at a time, and set the letters and shapes in place. Smooth out any bubbles and allow to dry.
4. Apply two thin coats of Modge Podge to the entire surface of the puzzle, allowing each to dry before adding the next.

5. Run the tip of your craft knife around all of the edges of the puzzle, being sure to cut through any places where the paper overlaps the cut edges.
6. Take the puzzle apart and stack the pieces. Tie with a pretty ribbon before giving to your valentine.
