Pretty Washi Tape Edged Envelopes

Turn simple and plain envelopes into something a little more flashy with a few strips of washi tape! This quick trick can be used on any kind of envelope, from simple business style to greeting card envelopes to large manila pockets. The trick to a great finished product is to make sure your edges are sharp when you trim away the excess tape.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 5 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Envelopes
Heart Washi tape or other colors/patterns of your choice
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Fill your envelope with it’s letter or card and seal before you begin.
2. Smooth a length of tape along the edges of the envelope flap, trimming at the point where the edges meet and at the corners.

3. Add a new length of tape along the sides of the envelope, folding the edge over so that both sides of the envelope have an equal amount of tape. Trim the excess from the edges.

4. Repeat this with the top and bottom of the envelope to finish.
