Pretty in Felt: Flower Brooches and Embellishments

Pretty_Felt_flower
I love love to wear flowers pinned on my jackets, scarves, purses and shirts. There is something about a flower that just brightens my day, so I’m always tinkering with different ways to make my own flower pins. This little flower brooch is simple to make and look amazing on anything. You can have fun playing with the different color combination’s of felt and buttons. Love!

Things you’ll need:
1 rectangle of felt
1 large button
Glass (cup) with a diameter of about 4 inches
Scissors
Hot glue gun and glue stick
Bar pin

Things to do:
1. Using the large end of your glass, trace and cut 6 circles from the felt. Flip the glass over and cut a seventh smaller circle as well.

2. Fold one large circle in half and add a dot of glue inside to hold in in place. Fold that piece in half and add glue to hold again, fold back one wing and open it slightly, gluing it in place as well.

3. Repeat with the remaining 5 larger circles.
4. Arrange the 6 petals, overlapping the edges and glue the backs of them to the smaller circle, spreading the glue out to hold all the petals in place.
