Popsicle Stick Puzzle

My kids have loved puzzles for as long as they could pick up the pieces and slide them around the table. We’ve gone through many stages of puzzles in our house, starting with this simple craft stick version. These are easily made with images pulled form kids magazines, discarded greeting cards or pictures from the paper to make ever newer puzzles.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes plus dry time

Things you’ll need:
Popsicle sticks
Image or picture
Mod Podge
Foam brush
Craft knife

Things to do:
1. Determine how much of your image you want to include in the puzzle by laying out the sticks over the image.

2. Apply Mod Podge on the back side of the image and lay out the sticks, leaving a tiny space between each for cutting.

3. Allow the Mod Podge to dry before slicing the craft sticks apart.
4. Mix up the sticks and let your child put the puzzle back together again.
