Mug cakes! They are all the rage! And so delicious (and fast!). They are my go-to dessert these days for long evenings when I need something sweet on the double. These mug cake mugs have the recipe right on them so you never have to go hunting for in when you are in need of a treat. Slip the dry ingredients into a baggie and wrap with a pretty napkin or doily to fit inside the mug and you’ve got a great gift for coworkers, teachers or friends.

Time required: 10 minutes plus heat setting

Things you’ll need:
Microwave safe mug
Porcelain Pen
Favorite mug cake recipe
Pretty napkin or doily (optional)
Ribbon (optional)
Dry ingredients in a baggie (optional)

Things to do:
1. Write out the recipe on a piece of scrap paper for sizing and layout.

2. Clean the mug thoroughly. Once dry, use your porcelain pen to write the recipe directly on the mug.

3. Heat set the ink according to package directions.
4. Wrap the dry ingredient bag in the napkin or doily, tie with a ribbon and nestle into the mug for gifting.
