Mod Podge Art Plaques
Kids love to have their own art displayed around the house and it encourages them to create more to see their masterpieces beautifully displayed. Using inexpensive wood plaques and Mod Podge is a great way to show off their work to its best.
Things to do:
1. On a covered work surface, lay out the wood plaques and coat with two or three layers of paint. Allow the paint to dry.
2. Cut the art down to fit inside the edges of the plaques and paint a thin layer of Mod Podge over the surface of the painted wood. Smooth the art into place and allow it to dry.
3. If you think the artwork will run, spray with a thin coat of fixative and allow it to dry completely.
4. Paint the entire plaque, including the sides, with Mod Podge, smoothing out any wrinkles as needed. Allow it to dry completely and then repeat with a second coat.
