This multi-purpose DIY project will have your Christmas decor looking lovely all season long! Use the wire form to create unique gift tags, or leave the wire angel on and display it as a work of art.
Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 30 minutes
Age range: 12 and up
Things you need:
Wood plaque
Wooden spools
Nails
Hammer
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks
Wire
Things to do:
1. The first step is creating your wire form. Heat up your hot glue gun and use it to attach your spools to a wooden plaque. To create an angel shape, I attached one spool to the top center and two spools on either side, just below the top.
2. Next, it’s time to add a few nails to complete the form. Hammer two nails below the center spool, another two about 1-inch below those, and two more at both bottom corners for the plaque.
3. When your form is finished, it’s time to create your wire angels! Cut a 2-foot piece of wire and start at the center, wrapping it around the top spool. Continue making your way around the nails and spools to create the outline of an angel.
4. When you reach the end, trim any excess wire and wrap the ends together, securing the shape.
