This DIY is a great way to recycle old newspapers! Make gift bags in any size to fit a wide variety of gifts.

Age range: 8 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Newspaper
Paper doilies
Glue stick
Scissors
Cutting mat
Hole punch
Jute

Things to do:
1. The first step is cutting out a 6×9 inch piece of newspaper.


2. Fold the rectangle piece of newspaper in half, creating a crease to guide the rest of your folds.

3. Open up the rectangle and fold the sides into the guide fold, slightly overlapping the edges. Secure with glue.

4. Create the bottom of the bag by folding up a half inch, folding the corners in and securing with glue.




5. Now comes the fun part- decorating! Fold a paper doily in half and slide in over the opening of the bag.

6. Punch two holes in the top of the bag and tie a bow with jute.
