How to Make Pretty Paper Doily Christmas Trees

Create a little forest of these fun and festive trees for the holidays. They look great on a mantel, bookshelf, or as a centerpiece at the dinner table!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 20 minutes
Age range: 8+

Things you’ll need:
Large paper doilies
Medium paper doilies
Small paper doilies
Wood beads
Foam block
Dowel rods
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Place a wooden bead on the lollipop stick and push down about 1/2″.

2. Warm up your hot glue gun. Fold the smallest doily in half twice to find the center. Cut to the center.

3. Form a cone with the doily and glue in place. Snip a small hole in the top of the doily so the stick will fit through it.

4. Slide the doily over the bead.

5. Cut and form the medium-sized doily as you did with the smallest one. Slide it under the bead, and then slide a second bead in place. The bead might be tricky to get onto the stick depending on the hole size, but with a little twisting you’ll get it there. If the bead is loose, add a bit of hot glue.

6. Repeat with the final doily and third bead. Stick the tree in a foam block so it will stay upright. Create more for your own little forest.
