How to Make a Mod Podge Lace Pumpkin

I love autumn. The crisp air and falling leaves create a cozy atmosphere that is perfect for crafting! Pretty pumpkins and gourds are popping up at the supermarket and I can’t wait to start decorating for Halloween and Thanksgiving! This non-traditional approach to pumpkin carving will help you create the perfect decoration for Halloween and thanksgiving, so you don’t have to say goodbye to your pumpkins after the 31st!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 40 Minutes
Age range: 5 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Pumpkin
Doily
Scissors
Mod Podge
Foam brush

Things to do:
1. The first step is cutting out a piece of fabric to decorate your pumpkin with. For this project, I chose to cut out a strip of crocheted fabric to cover the middle of the pumpkin. Measure your pumpkin to make sure that the length of fabric is correct.

2. Apply a layer of mod podge where you want your fabric to stick.

3. Press the fabric onto the mod podge where you want to cover your pumpkin.

4. Once you’ve covered the surface, trim any excess fabric and make adjustments while the mod podge is still wet.

5. When the first coat of mod podge is dry, apply a second coat on top of the fabric.
