Grid Painting with Watercolors

I’m not really much of an artist, but I do occasionally like to paint and my children LOVE it when we get out the watercolors and go to town. This grid painting project is perfect for people, young and old, who like to paint but don’t have the skills or desire to embark on something more detailed and complicated. The finished product is fun, funky and shows off wild colors well, and it’s practically fool proof!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 20 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Watercolor paper
Watercolor paints
Paintbrushes
Masking tape

Things to do:
1. Tape off your paper into a grid using your masking tape. Make sure you press down the edges well so that the paint doesn’t seep underneath.

2. Once your paper is gridded off, start painting the squares all different shades and colors.

3. Allow the paint to dry before carefully peeling off the paint to reveal the piece.
