Perfect for an outdoor tree or a rustic style of decorating this winter season, these golden pinecones are glitzy and simple at the same time. Looks for long, slim pinecones that haven’t opened all the way for the best effect.

Things you need:
Pinecones
5/8 Red Grosgrain Ribbon (or any color you wish)
Metallic gold (not sparkly) spray paint
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Scissors

Things to do:
1. On a newspaper covered work surface, spray all sides of the pinecones until they are completely coated.

2. Cut one 12-inch piece of ribbon and one 6-inch piece of ribbon for each pinecone.
3. With the longer piece create a small bow.

4. Loop the shorter piece and glue the ends together to form a hanging loop. Glue onto the very top of the pinecone.

5. Cover the ends of the loop by gluing the bow over it, letting the tails hang down on either side of the cone.
