Felt Relief Cork Coasters

This time of year, hot drinks are almost always on the menu to help keep out the cold. We’ve always got mugs of tea or cocoa in our hands an on our table. So I like to keep a pile of coasters on hand to protect the wood furniture around the house. These cork coasters will shield your wood from the heat and also offer a flash of color.

Time required: 15 minutes
Difficulty level: Moderate

Things you’ll need:
Cork coasters
Craft knife
Felt
Spray mount glue
Scissors
Fabric pencil
Pencil

Things to do:
1. Trace around the edges of the coasters on the felt and cut the edges cleanly. Line the felt up under the coaster and check to see if it needs to be trimmed away at all.

2. Trace or draw your shape onto the center of the coaster.

3. Carefully cut out the shape using the craft knife.

4. Lightly spray the back side of the coaster with the spray glue and line up the felt on the glued surface. Smooth out any bumps in the felt before the glue sets.
