Felt Christmas Light Ornaments

Remember those big, fat colorful Christmas lights from your childhood? I sure do. I know you can still get them but these days it seems to be more LED lights and a sea of white. Sometimes I crave those old, inefficient, colorful bulbs. You know? Which makes these ornaments perfect for my tree, and yours too. Or make a whole mess of them and create a felt light garland! Either way! So cute!

Difficulty level: Moderate
Time required: 15 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Felt in multiple colors, including gray.
Scissors
Yellow Embroidery thread
Embroidery needle

Things to do:
1. Cut out two bulb shaped pieces of felt for each ornament. Also cut one rectangle of gray felt per ornament that is as wide as the top of your light and twice as long so that it fold over to create the screw top.

2. Sandwich the two bulb” pieces together and fold the screw top piece of felt over the top.
3. Stitch, starting along one edge of the screw top, using a blanket stitch, until you have reached the other edge of the screw top.

4. Add a loop at the top for hanging and trim away all ends.
