Faux Hammered Metal Letters

I have a serious weakness for industrial chic decor. It satisfies my love of old things while keeping my house from looking to fussy or formal. SO I’ve been collecting things over the years that fit into that style, but the more popular the looks gets, the more expensive pieces become, so faux industrial chic projects are tops in my book! This project turns simple, paper mache letters into hammered metal look alikes that are way less expensive and much lighter, making hanging them a snap!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 10 minutes plus dry time

Things you’ll need:
L, O, V, E Paper Mache letters or other letters of your choice
Silver hammered metal spray paint
Double sided mounting tape

Things to do:
1. Remove all tags and labels from the letters.

2. In a well ventilated work area, place the letters on a covered work surface with several inches of space between them.
3. Spray a thin coat of paint onto all sides of the letter. Allow the paint to dry and then add a second coat.
4. Let the paint cure overnight and then hang using double sided mounting tape to secure it to your walls.
