Easy Whimsical Owl Gift Bag


Who doesn’t love owls? Really, they might be the most loved animals on the planet and for good reason. They look wise and wonderful and whimsical all at once. I have a special place in my heart for owls, our woods are full of them and occasionally I glimpse them out our window and my heart flutters just a teeny bit at the sight of them. So these owl gift bags are right up my alley, and up your alley too, I bet. Who can resist?

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: Ten minutes

Things you’ll need:
Paper lunch bags
Scrapbook paper
White and black paper
Scissors and pencil
Cups or circle cutter
Gluestick
Stapler

Things to do:
1. Fold down the top 1/4 of your bag down and crease well. Cut this folded section into a point.



2. From the white paper cut two circles with a diameter of about 3 inches using a cup to trace the shape or your circle cutter.
3. Cut two smaller black circles, about 1 inch in diameter, using the same method.
4. Cut a large oval, about 4 inches long, out of your scrapbook paper plus a small triangle from (use a different paper pattern for each)
5. Glue the oval so one narrow end is near the bottom of the bag. Add the two larger white circles near the top of the oval, slightly overlapping the top edge with the circles.
6. Add the smaller black circles to the center of the white ones and finish with the triangle for the beak.

7. Fill the bag and fold the trimmed top flap down. Staple in place.
