Easy Intricate Doily Snowflakes

My kids love paper snowflakes, we spend most of the winter cutting snowflakes and taping them to the windows and the walls (and the piano and the car, really, it’s never ending). And much as they love cutting little bits out of the folds, they can sometimes get frustrated that the snowflakes aren’t as intricate as the snowflakes in their heads, so these doily snowflakes are the perfect solution.

Things you need:
Paper Doilies
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Fold the doily in half, and then in half again. Fold the sides down once more to create the smallest wedge possible that can still be easily cut.

2. Snip bits out of the wedge, including the tip and along the top edge.

3. Unfold the snowflake and press flat with your fingers before hanging.
