Easy DIY Rustic Wood Slice Clipboard

This log slice clipboard is the culmination of rustic glamor. I made several and covered the wall behind my desk. Whenever I look at it, I’m reminded of the forest by the lake.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 30 Minutes
Age range: 12 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Wood slice
Clothespin
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Moss
Gold spray paint
Glitter
Craft Glue
Picture hanger

Things to do:
1. The first step is spray-painting your clothespin gold. The gold adds a glamorous accent that complements the rustic wood perfectly.
2. Once the clothespin is dry, add gold glitter to the bottom inch using craft glue.
3. The next step is prepping the log slice. Mine looked a little plain, so I added fake moss to the outer edge using hot glue.
4. Attach the clothespin to the front of the log slice using hot glue.

5. Add the picture hanger to the back. I used push-in picture hangers, but because the wood was so dense, I found that it worked best to use hot glue to attach it.
