DIY Vintage Mason Jar Lid Coasters

While I’m not a strict “Use a coaster or else!” kind of girl, with summer on the way and tall glasses of iced tea on the horizon, it’s time to get out the coasters and protect the tables from the worst of the dreaded rings. These coasters bring the fun, casual look of vintage mason jar rings and turn them into practical, pretty coasters.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 10 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Cork sheet
Sharp scissors or craft knife
Galvanized large mouth jar lids
Pen

Things to do:
1. Trace the bottom of the jar lid onto the cork sheet.

2. Using the scissors, cut around the circle cleanly.

3. Press the cork circles into the jar lid, fitting them in under the lowest thread. The thread will keep the cork in place while you use them but alternately, you can add a little glue between the lid and the cork to secure it in place.
