DIY Vintage-Inspired Doily Mason Jar Luminary

A little romantic, a little girly, and with a touch of country. These doily tea light jars are so quick to make that you’ll be surprised at how simply you can decorate a table for a romantic dinner!

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 15 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Clear pint Mason jar
Battery operated tea light
4 – Round doilies
Hemp twine
Spray adhesive
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Go outside on a very low-wind day (or position yourself away from the wind) with your jar and the four doilies. Spray the first doily on one side, and immediately stick onto the Mason jar. You’ll need to work fast before the doily dries!

2. Continue with the remaining doilies, placing slightly above and below the one next to it to create interest. There will be some overlap.

3. Without removing the twine from the roll, wrap it around the mouth of the jar a couple of times before cutting and tying off.

4. Turn on the battery-operated tea light and place it inside the jar. Enjoy your pretty new candle!”
