DIY Valentine’s Day Paper Cones


Fill this adorable valentine with candy and give it to someone you love this February. Not only does it make a great valentine, but also a wonderful decoration. Show someone special how much they mean to you with this Valentine’s day paper cone.

Difficulty level: Beginner
Age range: 10 and up
Time to complete: 10 minutes

Things you’ll need:
Music Paper
Tissue Paper
Ribbon (1/8 and 1/4)
Hole Punch
Tacky Glue
Scissors
Needle and Thread
Stapler
Glue Gun
Flat Lace (14 inches)
Spray Glitter
Ruler
Dowel
Sparkling foam stickers

Things to do:
1. Wrap your 1/8 inch ribbon around a wooden dowel and place it in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Allow time to cool.


2. Roll a piece of music paper into a cone shape. Secure with glue and a staple.



3. Use your scissors to trim along the top of the cone, creating a clean line.

4. Create a lace decorative detail. Take 7 inches of flat lace and use a needle and thread to create a flower shape. Use hot glue to secure it to the cone.



5. Place a sparkling foam sticker in the center of the lace detail.

6. Punch a hole in both sides of the cone and secure ribbon to create a hanger.


7. Apply a layer of glue around the top edge of the cone and attach flat lace around the rim.
8. To create a clean edge, use glue to apply a piece of 1/4 inch ribbon around the edge as a trim.

9. Take your curly ribbon from the oven and attach it to the side.

10. Spray the cone with glitter spray, fill it with tissue paper, and enjoy!
