Black paint
E6000 or hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
Paint brushes
Scissors
Embroidery floss
Needle with large eye

Things to do:
1. Paint your hearts in pink and red.

2. Allow the hearts to dry. Depending on the coverage, you might want to paint two coats.

3. Draw your letters on with a pencil and then paint with black paint.

4. Allow the hearts to dry again.

5. Either use E6000 or hot glue to glue a strip of ribbon to the back of the hearts, leaving several inches free at the top. If using E6000, be sure to glue in a well-ventilated area.

6. Fold an 18″ or slightly smaller piece of ribbon in half to find the center.

7. Fold both ends inward to find the center.

8. Thread your needle and knot the end. Push the needle into the center of the bow as shown.

9. Pull the thread all the way through and wrap around the center a few times before tying off and clipping in the back.

10. Cut a piece of ribbon about 2″ long. Fold in half the long way if needed. Wrap around the center and hot glue in place as the center knot.

11. Fold the top ribbon over to form a loop.

12. Hot glue the bow on top of the conversation heart chain.

13. Slide string into the loop at the top and knot.
