These small tassled weights are handy to have around in just about every room of the house. Holding your papers down when the windows are open, keeping your cookbook open to the right page, or just sitting there looking pretty, these simple little weights are a snap to make.

Things you’ll need:
8 by 8-inch piece of fabric
Sewing machine and notions
Cardboard
Ruler
Scissors
Yarn tassel (click here for tutorial)
Rice, millet or bulgur

Things to do:
1. From the cardboard, measure and cut a equilateral triangle with each side measuring 3-1/2 inches long.
2. Use the cardboard triangle to mark and cut four identical triangles from the fabric.

3. With right sides together, sew the triangles into a line so that each is connected to the other.

4. Fold the second triangle in half so that the edge of the first lines up with the top edge of the third. Sew along this line.

5. Fold the final triangle into place so that you have a pyramid. Sew along one side.
6. Stuff the tassel into the space inside the shape with the long end pulled through at one open corner and sew 1 inch in from each point of the remaining side, trapping the long end of the tassel in place as you sew.
