DIY Summer Camp Friendship Bracelets

It’s the season of friendship bracelets – girls won’t always be seeing their friends during the summer, so need something to remember them by! And with summer camps just around the corner, this is an easy new twist on the old-style favorite friendship bracelet.

Time required: 20 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
String peal beads
Baker’s twine
Scissors

Things to do:
1. Decide how long to make the bracelet, depending on the recipient’s wrist. Cut two pieces to this length.

2. Butt the two pieces next to each other and tie together with the twine, allowing at least 5″ on the short end to help with tying together later. Keep the long part of the twine on the spool – don’t cut it yet. Wrap the long end on a diagonal around the two bead strands, as shown.

3. Continue wrapping on a diagonal all the way down the strands.

4. Tie the twine off at the end to keep the wraps in place
