This sweet and simple DIY is the perfect patriotic project to dress up your front door on the 4th of July!
Difficult level: Beginner
Time to complete: 15 Minutes
Age range: 12 and Up
Things you’ll need:
Styrofoam wreath form
Tin stars
Foam brush
Red acrylic paint
Striped red ribbon
Wire
Wire cutters
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Things to do:
1. Use a foam brush to paint the entire surface of your wreath form red. Use thick layers of paint to make sure the paint soaks into the surface and covers all of the white.
2. Next, start attaching your tin stars. Apply a generous layer of hot glue on the back of your star and press it firmly onto the center of the wreath. Hold it in place for a few seconds to make sure it sticks.
3. Cut a length of ribbon and tie a bow.
4. String a 5-inch piece of wire through the center of the bow and press the ends through the top of your wreath form.
5. Twist the ends of the wire together, securing your bow and creating a loop to hang your wreath from.
