Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 10 minutes
Age range: 12 and up
Things you’ll need:
Candle
Paper
Hot glue gun
Hot glue sticks

Moss
Things to do:
1. Measure the circumference of your candle a cut a 2-inch strip of paper in the correct length.
2. Next, cover the strip of paper in moss. Pull the moss apart until you reach your desired density. Use hot glue to secure it to the paper. Make sure none of the paper shows through. Leave 1/2 inch of the strip of paper without moss.
3. Wrap the mossy paper around your candle and use hot glue to attach the ends. If any of the moss pulled away from the paper, use more hot glue to hold it in place. **Never leave a lit candle unattended. **Never leave a burning candle unattended. We recommend using a battery-operated candle for this specific project. Wax candles were used for demonstration purposes.
