DIY Rustic Chalkboard Wood Slice Photo Frame


This inviting and chic wood slice chalkboard is a great way to display photos and change them throughout the year! You can lean it against the shelf of a bookcase or mantel, or mount hardware on the back to hang on the wall.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 60 minutes (includes drying time)
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Wood tree slice
Chalkboard paint
3/8″ grosgrain ribbon
Clothespins
Paint brush
Hot glue gun and hot glue sticks

Things to do:
1. Paint the front of the wood slice and allow to dry. Warm up your hot glue gun.

2. Paint another coat of chalkboard paint. This is what the wood slice looks like once both coats are dry.

3. Wrap the front with a piece of ribbon. Hot glue the ribbon to the back.

4. Use your chalk to make some decorations before adding the photos with your clothespins. Change the message for every season or special occasion!
