DIY Rustic Burlap and Lace Garland


Whether you want to create a dramatic entry point for a special occasion, or create a primitive-style room divider, this burlap door garland is a quick and simple way to do it. The twine is strong enough to handle several pieces of burlap garland. For more color, mix in some ribbons in addition to the burlap and lace.

Things you’ll need:
Burlap and race ribbon
Burlap fabric ribbon
Butcher’s twine
2-3 packages of ruffle lace http://factorydirectcraft.com/catalog/products/1302_2558_2576-31596-white_iridescent_ruffled_lace_trim.html
Scissors
Stapler

Things to do:
1. Cut a piece of twine to 8″ longer than the width of your door. Cut pieces of burlap, lace, and other materials at least 48″ long. Fold one piece around the twine and staple in place.

2. Continue with the other pieces of burlap and lace.

3. If you don’t already have eye screws or another hanging device on either end of the doorway, add them now. Tie your garland to both ends.
