DIY Ring Display Holder

Displaying your jewelry just got a lot more fun! This tutorial will show you how to create custom ring holders with felt and vintage photo frames for a personalized, rustic vibe. Grab your hot glue gun and let’s get started!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 30 Minutes
Age range: 12 and Up

Things you’ll need:
Photo frame
Grey felt or other colors of you choice
Scissors
Pen
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Cardboard

Things to do:
1. Remove the glass and back of your photo frame. Trace the shape of the glass onto a piece of cardboard and cut out the shape, minus a 1/2 inch around all sides.

2. Trace the cardboard onto a sheet of felt and cut the sheet into a strip.

3. Roll the felt until it is 1/2 inch in diameter. Run a line of hot glue down the end of the roll and secure it in place.

4. Use hot glue to attach the roll to the sheet of cardboard, trimming any access length.

5. Repeat steps 2-4 until the entire piece of cardboard is covered in felt rolls.

6. Slip the piece of cardboard into the frame and enjoy displaying your rings!

  1. This is a great idea, but I have an idea to make it a little more fancy. Get a piece of black velvet put over the rolls of felt use a butter knife or a chopstick to push the velvet between the felt rolls, then add the frame. This makes the rings stand out more.
