DIY Personalized Stenciled Favor Bags

We all love little personalized bags! Whether you make these to give as gifts, or save for yourself for jewelry, beads, or any type of trinket, you’ll enjoy this quick, simple project. And acrylic paint can easily be washed off your stencil brush with water, so no worries about time-consuming cleanup!

Difficulty level: Beginner
Time required: 20 minutes
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
Card stock stencils
Muslin drawstring bag
Red acrylic paint or other colors of your choice
Stencil brush
Small paper plate
Folded piece of paper that will fit inside the bag

Things to do:
1. Place the folded paper inside the bag. This will prevent any paint from leaking through to the back of the bag, ruining your perfect design.

2. Poor a little paint onto your paper plate. You won’t need much, unless you’re doing several bags in the same color.

3. Choose which stencil you’ll use. Tear it off and place it onto the top of the bag. You could tape it in place along the edges, but that’s not always necessary.

4. Hold the stencil firmly onto the bag and dab your loaded” brush onto the bag where the stencil holes are located.

5. Carefully remove your card stock stencil, and admire your handiwork!
