DIY Glittered Clothespin Noteholders

Dress up your workspace and move away from sticky notes – show off your creativity and decorate instead! These glitter clothespin note holders are great for tweens and teens with lockers (because these are magnetic), or for general office and kitchen use. Plus they’re super-easy to make, even for kids.

Difficulty level: Easy
Time required: 20 minutes
Age range: 8+

Things you’ll need:
Assorted wood clothespins
Glitter
Glue
Adhesive backed magnetic roll
Patterned scrapbook papers
Scissors
Small paper plates

Things to do:
1. Fold the scrapbook paper and draw half of a butterfly on the fold. Cut it out, and make sure the fold is arranged so the wings point upward.

2. Sprinkle some glitter on a paper plate in a line that’s a bit longer and wider than the size of the clothespin.

3. Spread some glue on one long side of the clothespin. If you’d like, you can spread it further with your fingers or a cotton swab to make sure the glue covers the clothespin evenly.

4. Dip the clothespin, glue-side down, into the glitter. Make sure you move it around a little to coat the clothespin evenly with the glitter.

5. Glue the paper butterfly to the top or bottom of the clip, depending on your preference.

6. Cut a small piece of magnetic strip and add to the back of the magnet (on the non-glitter side).

7. Stick to your favorite surface and add notes as needed!
