DIY “Fall” Mason Jars

Put anything you’d like in these decorative jars for autumn – candy, dried flowers, office supplies – so pretty and practical for autumn!

Difficulty level: Intermediate
Time to complete: 2-3 hours (includes drying time)
Age range: 10+

Things you’ll need:
4 Mason jars
Acrylic paint
Paint brushes
Burlap ribbon
Jute twine
Scissors
Hot glue gun
Glue sticks

Things to do:
1. Paint the jars. You’ll need to paint two coats, allowing the coats to dry in between each.

2. Cut four pieces of the burlap to wrap around each jar. Make sure they’re wide enough to paint on the letters.

3. With black paint, paint F, A, L and L on the pieces of burlap. Protect your work space because the weave allows the paint to seep through. Allow to dry. Warm up your hot glue gun.

4. Glue the burlap pieces around the mason jars.

5. Tie the jute around the top of each jar.
