DIY Egg Candles

Perfect for an Easter or Spring Dinner party, these egg shaped candles are a snap to make using empty eggshells as the mold. Be sure to clean out the eggshells well with hot water before using them to make the candles.

Things you’ll need:
Empty eggshells with the open part at the top of the egg
Candle Wax
Wicks
Double boiler
Spoon

Things to do:
1. On a covered work surface, place the eggs in a bottle cap or egg cup to hold it steadily upright.
2. Melt the wax gently in the double boiler. Once melted. Spoon a small amount into the bottom of the egg and drop the wick in, holding it in the center of the egg until it hardens to hold the wick in place.

3. Fill the egg the rest of the way with wax.
4. Allow the wax to harden completely before peeling the shell away. Display in egg cups on your table.
