Difficulty level: Beginner
Time to complete: 20 minutes
Age range: 10 and up
Things you’ll need:
Wooden utensils
White cotton twine
Scissors
Things to do:
1. Cut a 6-foot piece of baker’s twine.
2. Lay the handle of your wooden utensil on the center of your piece of baker’s twine.
3. Tie a tight knot at the top of the handle.
4. Next, you’re going to knot your way down the handle. Cross the left string over the handle, creating a loop on the left side.
5. Cross the right string under the handle, creating a loop on the right side.
6. Pull each string through the loops you just created and pull them tight, creating two small knots.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 until you’ve covered the entire handle with baker’s twine.
8. When you reach the end of your handle, tie a tight double knot and trim the excess baker’s twine.
